Seng Savoeun runs a small grocery store on the outskirts of Phnom Penh. She buys food and drinks at the local market, then she sells them at her shop which is more conveniently located in the village.
Savoeun is able to generate between $10 and $20 of revenue from her grocery store on the average day. Additionally, Savoeun grows vegetables which she uses to feed her family. She and her husband are raising five cows which they eventually plan to sell at the market.
Savoeun wants to use this loan to buy an oven so that she can further expand her grocery business. She is the mother of three children and hopes that soon she will be able to send them to school.

Mr. Seang Soeun is 71 years old and lives in Phnom Penh with his only daughter. His wife recently passed away, so now he and his daughter rely heavily on each other for their livelihood.
Seang Soeun produces wine and earns about $5 per day. He has been saving his money and plans to combine those savings with the loan to buy a hair salon for his daughter. He feels that his daughter will succeed as a hair stylist and as he grows older she will be able to support him. In the future, he plans on continuing to invest in his daughter's shop so that she will succeed.

Yea Yea is 29 years old and lives with his wife and two young children in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He is an electrician and can make about $10.00 per day. His wife stays at home in order to watch their two young children. The family hopes to use this loan to purchase wood in order to repair their house specifically to protect it from leaking during the rainy season.
Additionally, Yea Yea wants to purchase electrical tools for his business. In the future, Yea Yea would like to open his own electrical shop. It is the couple's dream to one day build a concrete house for the family. Eventually, they hope they will have enough money to send their children to university.
