Job Announcement

CREDIT Microfinance Institution (CREDIT) is a Christian Microfinance Institution which has been established in Cambodia since 1993, and has three major shareholders: World Relief US, World Relief Canada, and World Hope International. We strive to ensure that the economically active poor and small entrepreneurs have the opportunity to develop their livelihoods and experience both full and productive lives. Aimed at contributing to Cambodian rural economic development, CREDIT provides financial services which consist of loan and saving products.

 

CREDIT is an operationally sustainable organization that received a permanent license from the National Bank of Cambodia in 2007 and is continuously growing its operations in the city/provinces of Phnom Penh, Kandal, Kampong Cham, Kampong Chhnang, Siem Reap, Prey Veng, Battambang, Bantheay Meanchey, Kompong Speu, and Takeo.

 

To meet our recent operational growth and expansion, CREDIT MFI is currently seeking for qualified Cambodian national candidates to fill the following vacant positions based in any sub-branch of all branches:  


(1). Research Officer, Marketing Department, Head Office
(2). Branch IT, Battambang Branch, Battambang Province

(1). Research Officer

Duties and responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager, to assist all aspects of research projects conducted within CREDIT:
  • Prepare research proposal for all researches of research and development in Marketing Department
  • Coordinate all researches field operations of CREDIT
  • Record, analyse and interpret the research data
  • Research issues to assist with development of policy and prepare report and makes recommendations as appropriate
  • Participate in facilitation of social and environment of research and development
  • Assists in the development and delivery of research initiatives
  • Develops and writes research and other reports for members, and other key stakeholders
  • Assists in developing partnerships and collaborative arrangements with other organizations
  • Serve as staff resource person to committees. Liaises with members and Committee Chairs to implement policies and initiatives
  • Assist with the preparation of the Annual Report
  • Maintain regular contacts with Committees and members to support research and programs. He/she develops external contacts in order to conduct research, manage programs and assist with other activities
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Marketing Manager in the best interest of CREDIT MFI

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Management, Finance and Banking, Economics, Social Science, Political Economy or a related discipline. Master degree in a related field an advantage
  • At least 1 year experience in research field
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
  • Research and Analytical Skills and Questionnaires design
  • Knowledge of finance and banking industry
  • Proficient in MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Email, SPSS and QM for Windows
  • Maths/ Stati/ Applied Statistics/ mathematical Economics
  • High level of organisational skills and Problem-solving and decision-making
  • Honest and excellent character with high commitment to work with poor people
  • Ability to keep ordered and systematic records and publications
  • Commitment to helping the poor people

(2). Branch IT

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain branch Information System
  • Install software, network, Email, repair and scan virus for all computers in branch
  • Back up files in branch computer
  • Support Head Teller in recording loan into system
  • Print client’s repayment schedule and all daily repayment
  • Assist Head Teller in closing account daily, weekly and monthly
  • Check error of data recording

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in computer science or related discipline
  • At least one year experience in IT and with Microfinance Institution is an advantage
  • Ability to repair Hardware & Software and install network
  • Good communication skills with both internal and external
  • Proficiency in the use of office software products (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, graphs, etc.)
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Good interpersonal skills and teamwork oriented
  • Commitment to helping the poor people


Remuneration

CREDIT provides competitive salary based on education, experience, and potential. We offer annual salary increase plus other benefits such as annual incentive and bonus (13th month salary), 24 hours insurance covered, severance pay, staff safety and health benefits, 5 working days per week, public holiday comply with Cambodia labor law, special interest rate staff loan, staff uniform, and CREDIT support staff training and good working condition with other human resource policies.
